How do I register to participate in a research study?

Do I have to stop taking my current medications?
You do not stop taking your current medications prior to enrollment. During your first visit at CSI-RC, the research coordinator will give you direction on changing or adding any medications.
What happens if I have a reaction to the study medication or treatment?
In the event of a change in health, it is important to contact the research coordinator or principal investigator as soon as possible to receive direction on what to do next. This contact information will be found in your informed consent form and on a business card that you complete during your first visit to CSI-RC.
What happens if I want to quit my participation in a study?
You are free to withdraw from your research study at any time. In the event that you decide to do so, please contact your research coordinator for instructions. A final office visit is required.
Will I be paid for my participation?
Based on the research study, you may be compensated up to $2,500 for your time and travel.
What are the benefits to participating in a research study?
There are many benefits to participating in a research study. Depending on which study you qualify for, you may be compensated for your time and travel, and may receive free medications, free doctor exams and testing that can improve your medical condition.
How long will I be required to participate?
Every study has different requirements. The study you may qualify for can last from 12 weeks to three years.
Do I receive extra compensation for referring someone to CSI-RC?
CSI-RC has a referral program that compensates $50 for any new qualifying patient you refer. The patient you refer must randomize/successfully enroll in a research study in order for you to qualify for the referral bonus.
How will I be contacted about future participation?
Once you have filled out this form or completed a study, your information will be placed in the CSI-RC database and you will contacted for applicable studies. You are also encouraged to visit csi-rc.com or follow CSI-RC on Facebook or call 314-645-6005 to learn about upcoming studies.
